Andrew Wyeth is known for his realistic paintings of rural life
and scenes of the sea shore, including lighthouses and lobstermen.
Born in 1917 and suffering as a child from bronchial illness,
Wyeth was home schooled and received his artistic training from
his father, noted artist N. C. Wyeth.
