Russian-born artist Wassily Kandinsky
is considered to be the founder of abstract art. Kandinsky was
both a great artist and an accomplished musician. He believed
there is a connection between the hues of paint and the pitch
of musical notes. In fact he believed he could see the colors
as he listened to music.
